I just came across this dog lovers post about a Delaware Republican fundraiser that raised their ire. Apparently they are auctioning off a puppy (a Black Lab, purportedly). The complaint is that dogs should be placed in loving homes, not just go to the highest bidder. Dog lovers…sic ‘em.

Remind me. How do 99.999% of all dogs find homes? Is there a governing body of dog lovers that travels the countryside in a stagecoach, leaving puppies on the doorsteps of worthy prospective owners? Or do random people just drive to a freaking PETCO, write out a check for like $800 and drive home with a labradoodle?
