It is sad but (given his voting record)not surprising that Mike Castle refuses to hold ANY town hall meetings this August.
I spoke to a young man in the Dover office named Ian who said that the Congressman might hold one of those bogus call in things that they are trying to pass off as town hall meetings – but no “actual” town hall meetings are being held.
I consider reporting back to his constituents part of Castle’s job. What do you lot think? Is it unreasonable to think that Castle should be able to talk about what is happening in Washington with the people he claims to represent?
BTW - Kristine Huxhold, his scheduler, was too chicken to answer a simple question about the Congressman’s plans for the recess. Where does he find these people?

“his scheduler, was too chicken to answer a simple question about the Congressman’s plans for the recess. ”
Gee…you follow the man to his house to yell at him and wonder why they aren’t leaping to give you his schedule.

You know, maybe Castle’s employee’s give you so little information because you trash them here. I wouldn’t talk to you if I were on of them. I wouldn’t want my name to show up.

Those “bogus call-in things” reach 50,000 people.

Just because he has gotten to your town, doesn’t mean they don’t work

Delaware doesn’t have infrastructure for a conference call with 50,000 people.
If you are talking about some kind of radio or TV call-in program, Joe Biden does three of them before lunch, but he doesn’t think of calling it a “town meeting.”

I second that. They should only have to reply to questions from nice docile sheeplike people who agree with them.
If you don’t like it move to France!!!

The conference call system is not in Delaware, and 50,000 people don’t all choose to be on the call. But it is made available to them and it beats the hell out of a town meeting, reach-wise.

Dave –
I feel for you bro. Honest to God I do. You are all about retail politics and you are great at it. The special you ran this year was classic. If it was up to you, you’d have Castle in a town hall meeting tomorrow smacking down my “buh, buh, buh but George Bush said…” stuttering flustered self.
But now being the SC chiar you are in the position of having to defend this robo call shit and I know it is grinding you down. You can run from your true self Dave, but not for long.
I’ll be here for you dude.

“I’ll be here for you dude”
BS. I sent you an email 7 hours ago and you still haven’t responded.

Dave, be gentle. Remember, he is a French Surrender Monkey. He can’t take pressure-packed deadlines like that.

In Castle’s defense, if I had his heart condition, I would not have town meetings during a recess either………
Vacations are for enjoying life. right?
