Infante charged with prescription fraud
Smyrna police say former gubernatorial candidate Frank Infante is facing prescription fraud charges. Police say the 40-year-old Infante was arraigned and released Tuesday on a one-thousand dollar bond.
Infante was arrested after a pharmacy reported his girlfriend tried to fill a forged prescription in his name. Investigators found Infante had received a legitimate prescription for a narcotic in June.
Police say he was charged Monday with two counts of forgery, obtaining a controlled substance by misrepresentation and attempted possession of a prescription drug by forgery.

Meanwhile, the ex-Mayor recently built a multi-million dollar beach house after three terms of ’serving’ Smyrna. The police pension fund in the town is doing much better after the ex-Mayor’s tenure. The police have no problem with the ex-Mayor.

my guess is that she got picked and pointed the finger to him. it is possible that he did the forgery and had her go to the pharmacy but just as likely that it was all her idea and he decided to cover for her.

Unfortunately, in these news updates from WDEL, you are left reading between the lines. My interpretation is that he had a legit script at first, but then replicated it for future fills without pestering the doc. Hey, I think that is considerate! (end-snark)
I also think this is Ruthie’s personal retribution for his defiant stance against the smoking ban, being an opponent (via two parties, none-the-less!), and those illegal slots! (end-more-snark)

He went and received two seperate prescriptions from two diffrent doctors and forged two other prescriptions. I guess I would have to send someone else to get them if I used all those pills too! It’s ashame that ruth is picking on him by having him arrested for just breaking the law several times a year. He’s just trying to live a straight life and the law keeps picking on him.
